The most successful image from this assignment was the sunset landscape photo. This photo falls into the category of being aesthetically evaluative. I love this photo because of the colors and cloud formation that I captured at sunset. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was finding images that evoke different emotions or make the viewer question what they are viewing. I tend to take photos to capture the moment, and I think I'd like to explore photography that leads the viewer to see things from different perspectives or considers social causes that may relate to the content that is pictured.

Hey Ashley! I really like your Aesthetic evaluation photo. I love how the clouds form their own trail guiding me down the sky; it almost looks like a tornado. The colors orange and blue make it a complete color scheme. If I had to give any criticism, I would probably try to take a straighter photo so it could almost follow a rule of thirds type photo, including leading lines, and finally crank up the saturation; as lovely as the photo is with its pastel, giving it a little boost with color would go a long way! - Near Rubin
I appreciate your explanatory photo not only because I love baseball, but the fact that you captured a moment in time that also shows movement. The movement is evident in the audience by the indivudal carrying his food to his seat and the other attendees looking out, down, and around the stadium. The photo does a great job of capturing various comlementary and analogous colors. The depth of field works well, because its focuses down from the audience into the field, with the audience being more of the focal point creating the movement. If I had to adjust something in the photo it would be the angle, but otherwise it does a great job representing explanatory.

I really like your aesthetically evaluative photograph as well and I think it represents this category because the sunset is definitely beautiful. The contrasting colors of the orange clouds and the blue sky make it very visually appealing. In addition, the dramatic lighting in the photo makes it worthy of aesthetic observation and also evokes feelings of peace which is really nice. - Amelia Orndorff
Hi Ashley! I really liked your explanatory photo because it is a good example of showing the audience what is happening and leaves them with few questions. The lighting and colors of the photo draw me to it, and overall it captures the idea of explanatory photography well. -Jamie Bricker
Hi Ashley! I am drawn to your sunset photo because I like the pastel colors that are displayed. The warm orange's and pinks that bleed into the blue evokes feelings of warmth and calm. You were able to compose the image in an interesting way by using the rule of thirds by placing the horizon low in the frame and allowing the dramatic sky to dominate most of the image.
