ABOUT ME

As a Blue Hen alumnus, I graduated in 2013 with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services, with minors in Spanish and Psychology. Before joining the University of Delaware in 2023, I taught Spanish in both Michigan and Delaware for almost ten years. Currently, I work in UD's Office of Development and Alumni Relations, organizing reunion events at Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Weekend. One of my responsibilities involves creating nostalgia and promoting awareness of the events through social media, which includes sharing captivating pictures. Although I have never pursued formal photography education, I recently discovered my passion for it when I stumbled upon 2010s digital cameras in my grandmother's closet. Through this course, I aim to enhance my photography skills to capture special moments and improve the visual content for event promotions on social media.
Course Goals
1. Acquire essential techniques and terminology in photography
2. Enhance proficiency in using cameras (iPhone and digital) for everyday life and leverage feedback from peers to refine my work
3. Gain photography skills beneficial for enhancing event promotions on social media through impactful images
